Partnership with MotoGP helmet designer and airbrush artist Maurizio Fusi
We are more than happy to welcome Maurizo Fusi, heading up Mau Design in the heart of Italy, to team helmade. He is another gifted helmet designer joining us on our journey. Beside his experiences in designing and painting helmet designs for international top motorsports athletes, from MotoGP to Superbike and car racing, he adds incredible airbrush skills to the helmade concept. The unique pieces of art, the 39 years old Italian from Firence creates are breathtaking. Already in the age of 15, Mau (his nickname) started to experiment with airbrush. This way he was able to learn all basic skills at a very early stage in his life. That time he was designing and painting the first motorcycle helmets for his friends. In 2007 he has founded his own company Mau Design, which represents first class helmet design, true airbrush art and a very high quality in every detail.
During the first conversations with Mau we immediately got the impression that we have found a partner who truly shares our passion for design and individuality. Combined with his skills we have made another important step to widen the possibilities with helmade to created entirely custom designs based on customer wishes. In the near future highly complex and difficult airbrush paintings, as part of a helmet design, will be possible. We will work on this field in the next months. Stay tuned for upcoming news.
Today Mau Design is well recognized by MotoGP, Superbike, World Trial, Kart, Car Racing, Endurance racers as well as helmet manufacturers. Beside his own helmet designs Mau is bringing to life paintings for the Italian design studio Sakart Design, as the helmet designs of Maverick Vinales, Brad Binder, Axel Bassani, Tony Arbolino, Kev Coghlan and Roberto Lacorte.
Together with Mau we have released the first helmade x Mau helmet designs on motorcycle helmets to be designed by you. Also in this partnership we are offering different styles and complexities. There will be many more designs added to our design range very soon. Among them, the first motocross designs on our first MX racing helmet, Bell Moto-9, which we are currently working on.
Maurizio Fusi with his out of the ordinary skills is the perfect addition to the idea of helmade and our further journey. We are proud that we can work with him.
