Special moment meets special helmet design. For the young German rally driver Eve Wallenwein who competes together with her co-driver Julia Götzl in the WRC Rally World Championships from 18th-21st of August in Trier, Germany, key to success is the right preparation and a good feeling in the car. To feel good in the car it is also about her individual style. For that reason she has designed a helmet design on www.helmade.com and also let us come up with a design for her new driver logo which we’ve lacquered in on the backside of her rally helmet. Her participation in the ADAC Deutschland Rally 2016 is a true highlight for Eve which she wants to capture in her new helmet design. After a long period of not racing due to her start in working for the successful racing team Black Falcon, she is now back rallying her Citroên DS3. Rally is in her blood. The Wallenweins are the family of German rally, multiple German championships and international victories of her brothers, Sandro and Mark, and her father Thomas, who is still competing in the legendary Rally Dakar on a truck.
She says about her new helmet design: ‚I always wanted my own helmet design. The helmet is the most personal part in motorsports. It represents not just safety but it is also representing the personality of each race driver. The Rally World Championships run in my own country is the perfect moment for me to get my first helmet design. When it comes to the colors I stayed true to myself. The black holographic effect is a real highlight as my start in Trier is. My design stands as well for a new beginning in rally for that reason I’ve also decided for my own driver logo that will follow me for the rest of my career as a racer.’
‚Eve and helmade are a perfect match. She represents her own style in motorsports which we like. Being straight forward is important for her. That describes quite well our way with helmade. In addition we get exposed to the super interesting rally community where we see big potential for our idea and our concept. We are excited to receive feedback from drivers and teams. The partnership with Eve will be the starting point for us to follow rally even closer in the future. We keep all our fingers crossed for Eve‘s start in Trier and of course for the next steps in her career.’, says Christian Möhring from helmade about the partnership.
Eve’s experience with designing her helmet: ‚helmade was an entirely new experience to me. I could imagine and see my final helmet design due to the 3D visualization and I was guided through the design process quite intuitively. Usually you receive design proposals, created by another person. With helmade I was in charge, could play around as much as I wanted, to finally land on my own design.'
The preparation for next years season in her new car and a higher class already kicked-off. Eve Wallenwein has ambitious goals and she will be continuing her way in rally with all her passion and from now on with her own helmade design.
