Helmet design collab with local community Les Apaches de Francfort

JE SUIS APACHE.

Inspired by the idea and the thought behind Les Apaches, we’ve worked on a helmet design for open face helmets which stands for two-years of togetherness, passion and style. Les Apaches de Francfort are a lifestyle community which goes beyond the normal. Talking with Bora Inci the founder of Les Apaches when we first met in summer this year showed that he is a guy with a vision. The inspiration for starting the community in 2014 in Frankfurt Germany comes from France. Les Apaches were a subculture which grew in Paris in the early 20th century. These guys, also called ‚les apaches de belleville‘, were known for owning the streets of Paris. They've achieved this through their actions, which were not always in line with the law at that time, and the way they behave, always in style. Certain elements of the Apache style became influential in French and then international popular culture, including the Apache dance and Apache look. Language classes were offered in ‚la langue verte‘, the colorful argot spoken by Apache community members.

Of course that’s what the Apaches were in the early twenties. Nowadays Les Apaches are a Frankfurt based community which is build on the passion for classic bikes, heritage, burlesque, arts & rock'n'roll. Les Apaches de Francfort are representing a lifestyle between 1890-1970, taken into the modern world. The community is truly open for everybody. Women, men, young and old. You even don’t need to ride a bike. The community is also about doing good. Each event contains actions and donations for social purposes as for example the partnership with the kids cancer institution ‚Hilfe für krebskranke Kinder Frankfurt e.V.‘.

To celebrate the two-years anniversary of Les Apaches we've created an exclusive helmet design for open face helmets. The classy design incorporates a bold statement with the Les Apaches line on the backside of the helmet. For the Statement version, the three lines represent the three pillars the community is build on, the middle line as the core of the community Les Apaches de Francfort. the other two lines for Les Apaches Moto & Les Apaches La Fete. The founding year 2014 and other details as the statements JE SUIS APACHE and DANSE MOTO are integrated on each side of the helmet design. There’s also a Pure version of the helmet design without all details available. Each element of the helmet design is hand-painted and fully lacquered into one high-quality helmet artwork of helmade and Les Apaches. It is possible to paint on most of the available open face helmets and we can offer you almost all of them, including the Bell Custom 500 and our own open face helmet with black or brown interior.
